Dear Y, Science claims man’s Y chromosome has slowly degenerated leaving the male with an X chromosome and a shriveling Y chromosome. Apparently, your X and Y are both doing great considering your admiration for your “fully developed” XX chromosome girlfriend. Are you asking if you should keep a list of the occasions she gets all girly about something or a list of her “a woman doesn’t need a man” comments? Every woman likes to be admired, but an intellectual woman needs intellectual stimulation. In this day and age, a woman can do anything a man can do. They don’t need a man, but most women do want a man. My favorite quote is, “I know what I bring to the table, and trust me, I’m not afraid to eat alone.” She knows her self-worth is and knows that she’s self-sufficient without a man. She still wants to be at the table to eat with someone, because she enjoys it! First of all, you need to know what her interests are. And, you don’t need to be afraid to challenge her. You can express your opinions to a woman like that and be yourself as long as you never condescendingly speak to her and make sure you keep your sense of humor. So, what’s the real story here, Mr. Y?

For example, when answering the question, “What are you looking for in a relationship?” Now imagine a woman is reading your answer. Will the answer appeal to her? A guy named Paul answered this way, “A woman of strong faith in God who is loving, kind, understanding, forgiving, and a great healthy cook. She keeps a nice comfortable house and shows me lots of affection.” “What’s wrong with that?” you may be asking. Well, look at it from the woman’s point of view who’s reading this. Are cooking and cleaning really a relationship or a result of the relationship? What is going to be in this relationship for the woman? She probably doesn’t want to apply for the “job.” Therefore, she doesn’t respond.
