Please-Help-Me gets Help

Dear Dot, I was so lonely I got on a popular dating site a couple of weeks ago, but I am not getting any response from the ladies. I’m an older guy, but I’m not bad-looking, even though my picture didn’t turn out too well.Signed,Please-Help-Me Dear Please-Help-Me,First of all, your photos are significant, and you should post at least 3 to 5, or even more. Get someone, a family member or friend, to help you. Be sure you are well-groomed for the pictures, and if you post photos of a “younger,” you be sure to state that. Otherwise, the lady will think you’re a fraud when she meets you! Second, Post as much information on your profile as possible. Be honest but use a little imagination. For example, when answering the question, “What are you looking for in a relationship?” Now imagine a woman is reading your answer. Will the answer appeal to her? A guy named Paul answered this way, “A woman of strong faith in God who is loving, kind, understanding, forgiving, and a great healthy cook. She keeps a nice comfortable house and shows me lots of affection.” “What’s wrong with that?” you may be asking. Well, look at it from the woman’s point of view who’s reading this. Are cooking and cleaning really a relationship or a result of the relationship? What is going to be in this relationship for the woman? She probably doesn’t want to apply for the “job.” Therefore, she doesn’t respond. Now, let’s look at some other guy’s answers to “What do you look for in a relationship?”J.W.’s answer: “A genuine, honest woman who wants to be loved and cared for.”Big-Daddy’s answer: “A kind, gentle woman that is monogamous; shows respect for others; likes to converse about anything; likes to love and be loved.” Are you getting the drift? My advice is to read and re-read the responses from various ladies on the dating site and see for yourself what they are saying they want in a relationship. You will need to edit your profile and fix a few things. Best of luck, Please-Help-Me, and I hope I have.Signed,Dot
